Just curious where the preferred spellings came from in RSR. People on this board seem to spell the girls' names Cala and Jota. The katakana has it as Kara and Iota. Julietta is right on. Just curious if these's some romanization in the artbook or something that spells it out or if that's just how people romanized the sounds. Having been through a couple years of Japanese and having played the game without the board, I developed a preference for the direct romanization. Just want to see what people think about the difference and if there's an origin for the current spellings.

The romanized spellings came from the Viper RSR artbook.

Ahh! Question answered, good enough then. My artbook doesn't ship until late october according to Amazon.jp. Thanks!

Cala and Cara are pronounced the same in Japanese. Sogna probably just chose the more exotic form. Same with Elan instead of Eran.
Jota is pronounced "yo-tah", which is a close approximation of the Greek letter iota.
