Amazon is holding a poll right now to determine a *hot* product that will be sold at an *insane* price. One of these items is the Xbox 360 Core package. If the 360 gets the most votes, Amazon will sell it for $100 at 11AM PST next thursday; that's $199 less than the MSRP!!
There's a couple of catches, though. First, the Core system doesn't come with the 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, or HD component cables. However, should you fork over the $180 for these 'upgrades', you'll still save about $20 than if you were to buy the Premium system, so it's still a pretty good deal.
