And no arguements of which is better! fans will buy what they want...

I mean think about it.

A single Xbox game versus an entirely new console. it's so sad to think that they're both on equal terms.

you have to admit, if PS3 is having trouble competing against a single game of another console... PS3's in for a rough ride...

They're not on equal terms.

Only Halo fans will buy Halo 3. The rest of the world will buy a PS3.

The PS3 will far outsell Halo 3 after a month (and giving Halo the lead for a month is being nice). Bungee themselves have admitted that Halo 3 was NOT their idea and to release it so quickly after Halo 2 invites dissaster to the franchise. Microsoft is banking off of Halo's name in the hopes of drawing attention away from a console that completely out-performs their own. It's sad really, because X-box needs it's power advantage to make up for the lack of "killer" titles on it's system. Unless software support for the X-box grows drastically the box seems doomed to be shoved into the back-burner by PS3's power and Revolution's Old-school know-how.

Why must we partake in high school-esque popularity contests over these things? Can't we just enjoy all the cool new systems and games at the same time? :/

Well, techniclly, I AM in high school... And debates are fun anyway.

I do say that PS3 fans will buy PS3 while Halo3 fans will buy Halo3. We can all agree on that, right?

Well, X360 is smart with the whole Halo 3 vs PS3 test, and I know a fairly lot of Halo fans are going to be raping the shelves... but I sincerely think the PS3 is going to kill.

X360 buyers are going to buy Xbox games and impatiently wait for Halo 3.
PS3 comes out the same day as Halo 3.

Perhaps there are people who are going to try the X360 and not like it, and suddenly want to switch to PS3?

"holy shit Xbox is le sex but I heard PS3 is gonna be better, I wanna see if this is true, I'mma buy the PS3!"

There are so many situations you can think up actually, heh. But I say PS3.

Just the Japanese alone will buy 10 times as many PS3's than Halo3 will muster in worldwide sales.

Don't forget they also bought the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive. Nintendo of America was cool enough not to release it over here.

Solution to this thread: Halo 3 for PS3.

Otherwise, yeah, what's the deal? I mean, I can understand if you can only buy one system, but I thought that system loyalty wars dropped out of vogue after [strike]Game Gear Sega Saturn Nintendo 64 Atari Jaguar[/strike]Dreamcast crashed and burned.

BG2, think of bias as um...A preference or an inclination, especially one that inhibits impartial judgment, like what Mr. Dictionary.com told me.

Basically in this case, only being able to see Halo 3 for it's goods and not it's bads. Substitute the word Halo 3 for PS3 as necessary.
