Viper M3 3.2 Saves
« on: April 22, 2007, 02:42:40 am »
Kinda got stuck in trying to unlock all the movies to this great game.  Was wondering if anyone either had game saves, or at least a solution so Karou doesn't leave in the game??  Thank you guys again.

I have a clear file.  And here's my save files but they're probably too early in the game to be of much help.

Yeah it is a bit early.  Origato Gozimasu anyway.  I just need to figure out how to stay away from the bad ending (no matter what I pick, it seems to always give me the saddest ending).

Yeah, this game has way too many choices that don't have any effect. I think all you have to do to get Kaoru in the end is answer the phone during the date with Rika to stop Kaoru from getting raped in the alley, and then later when the last choice comes up, choose not to go in and eventually you'll get Kaoru's third scene.

I still haven't figured out how to get Rika's third scene though.

I tried that scenario, but she still leaves on the train.  Be nice if someone who knew japanese, and the game could put a walkthrough.

Ah, M3 uses an entirely different method for extracting the cg files.  I'm not sure if I mentioned how to elsewhere.

I don't think you did, but then again I've only looked through the boards once, and that was seeing if anyone had the same probably with Viper Lanjerie that I did.  Anyway I think it's more than wanting to see the scenes, I actually want to try to beat it (the game people, get your mind out of the gutters :) , however no matter how many choices I seem to make, it seems the outcome is the same (bad ending), and that those 2 locked scenes remained locked.  hmm  Anyway I thank you for all who have helped, and if anyone has found how to get those 2 scenes in the game, please let me know.

It's a fake-out. She comes back in the ending I described, unless there were any other seemingly irrelevant choices that added to the result.

I don't think anything in either of the preludes affects the endings in the main game, at least I hope not. That would make things extra complicated.

Origato Gozimasu

Please don't romajicize if you're going to make a fool of yourself.  It's arigatou gozaimasu.

Ah, M3 uses an entirely different method for extracting the cg files.  I'm not sure if I mentioned how to elsewhere.
The extraction tool (works on images, text, and audio) was detailed in the tools thread in this post.  Now if someone wants to take the text-based files and build us a script file, I'll translate it.  Maybe that way we can find out what choices need to be made to get to each point in the story.

Sadly, M3 is the VIPER game I know the least about and have played the least.  Getting the text out of those text based files has been on my to-do list for a while, but its pretty far down the list.

Gomennasai, I just started learning japanese, and am starting to read katakana, but that is as far as I have gotten.  Didin't mean to misspell Arigato Gozaimasu.

I think the preludes do affect what happens in the main game.  But once again, Karou has a lot of dialogue and as stated before I have no clue what is being asked.

Thank you for everyone that tried to help.  Turns out my game was "incomplete", however I found a clear.dat file that allowed me to see all the scenes in the game (including the elusive Kaoru and Rika 3).  Thank you for all of your support.  Matane from Okinawa.
