Doesn't Work...

This link for the download of Viper V16 works but there is one error. When I try to extract the .dat file it says something like "You need to extract from another volume first." Or something like that. Can somebody please tell me how to fix this so I can get the game running?

Yeah, that same thing has happened to me the 50+ times I've downloaded Viper games. It's very stressing. =P

(but seriously, it is annoying)

I've just discovered some viper CG archives inside HCG image packs here - http://myfairangel.dyndns.org:7000/.

Those are doanloadable via a bittorrent client. I've just started the download - will post later, when it's finished.

Well, here's (http://www.hachcege.dk/default.asp?page=showcomp&idstr=Sogna) the H-CG archive site I've discovered. It's got CTR, F40 and F50 animations - I believe those are available either here in the gallery, or on the web. It's also got "RSR 259 gif collection" and GT1 CG. Perhaps the last pack would be of any use, as I recall someone asking for those images on the board...

i tried to go to the website indicated above, but when i click on the torrents...
its just a notepad full of characters
what is that?
how do i get the viper rsr gifs?

When you click on a torrent link, try right clicking on it and choosing "Save As".  Then, run the torrent file from your computer and it should start working, provided you already have a bittorrent program.  If you don't have one, try Azureus.

When I clicked on the torrent link a download started and it was going to be 411.1MB(!!).

Please tell me I'm doing something wrong 'cause I'm pretty sure a collection of GIFs don't take 411.1MB.

You know how long that'll take on a dial-up connection?

hey just wanna ask if some of know about a different torrent reader other than azureus? coz when i downloaded the torrent it took me 2 days just to download about 80% of the torrent!!! then it wont download anymore!! it says that i have a NAT problem or something and it really sucks!!!
i only got about 70 gifs out of 220+!?!?!?
please help me!!!

Phew, man.  Relax.

Actually, I'm having trouble too.  I'm new to torrents, and I'm unclear on exactly how they work.  I got the torrent file from Hongfire, I believe, but it never begins to download when I run the file.  Does this have to do with that seeding bit that I've heard about?  When ever I come across a torrent that I want, it's already kind of old, and a bunch of people are shouting dama_morri-style for someone to seed it.

Can anyone recommend a more recent or more reliable source for the RSR GIF torrent?

Err... nevermind.  It seems to be connecting now.  Ah, the magic of the internets.

I used Azureus... I actually prefer that, but when I formatted my comp I got BitLord, and I was too lazy to uninstall it. One or the other. xD

Despite the high reviews for Azureus, I seem to be having more luck with BitTornado for some reason.  I can see all of Azureus' advantages, but I'm a bit too computer-illterate to take full advantage of them.

I usually have to download torrents over a period of a few days since I don't have access to a high speed connection except at school, and it's sometimes difficult to find one that doesn't block me with a firewall.  For one reason or another, I've had more a better experience using BitTorrent under these circumstances.
