Need info on the V8R and Lanjerie series

That's where I got Viper Paradice, V6R and GTS DVD ed. There was a V8R there but it's a whopping 2GB. Why is the V8R so damn big? I recall V8R only had a 3 short games. Any extra content?

On Lanjerie games, I've been reading older posts here and so far the only extras on the Lanjerie games are a different board and some characters replace some of the original Paradice players. Is that about it or are there other extras? I wanna ask first before I download them.

Maybe you're thinking about regular V8, that was the early one. V8R is the remake made at the end of Sogna's lifespan, so its filesize would likely be much larger.

Yeah, I already have the regular V8. I was wondering if there are extras on V8R and the Lanjeries spinoffs. And what's with very big file size? File size that big is understandable with H-games like Sexy Beach 3 (really good stuff).

I'll just guess that a good chunk of that is music. If the increase in amount and quality of animation isn't enough to multiply the filesize then switching from midi to mp3 (or whatever filetype the remakes use) will certainly do it.

V8 R would be a DVD image, not CD.  I don't remember V8 R being that big though - I bet the seeder either didn't zip the image or the ripper included subchannel data of some sort to bloat the size.

As a side note, GTS LE, V6 R, and V8 R did not need to be DVDs.  Sogna just went that route to try to cut own on pirates.  Only RSR benefits from the larger DVD capacity.
