Excite bike is an awesome game.

Too bad there wasn't a "Vs. Excitebike". It would have been fun to go head-to-head against another person.

Thank you for bringing up bad memories.

Damn that smartass dog... Damn him straight to hell!

how about that Wild West game?  Played that/  no smartass dog in that one.

My NES days were full of Bubble Bobble, Mario Bros 1-3, Megaman 2 & 3, Bad Dudes, and various TMNT games. Mostly, the ones we played were the ones with "3" in the title. Mario 3 was our first game, Megaman 3 was the second, then I think there was a TMNT 3 side-scroller that we played to no end. I never did beat any of those games without codes back when I had my NES, and now that I'm older and more skilled, my NES is gone and I can't try my skill again.

What the eff?  Zelda-hater mimicks my childhood.  Well, not exactly.  But yeah I played SMB3 before I went back and found the others -- I think the third TMNT was the Manhattan Project.  That game was awesome.  I used to go to this hotel that had this sports club but instead of doing tennis or any of that shit I'd just go up into the attic of the club and play on their NES forever.  I think they had TMNT 1 and 2 and I never owned either for the NES but that's where I played them both.  Only had Manhattan Project at home.

Bubble Bobble = yes.

Best NES game ever:

Duck Tales

While I enjoyed Duck Tales (Hell, most of the Disney games were fun little romps.), I wouldn't go that far.

NES truely was one of the best systems for gaming.  Some of my favorite games:

Mega Man series (Obviously couldn't forget the Blue Bomber.)
Contra
Super C
Gradius
Life Force
Jackal
Cobra Triangle
R.C. Pro Am
Rad Racer series
Ninja Gaiden series
Tecmo World Wrestling
Super Mario Bros. series
Tons more...

I think my personal favs were Blaster Master and Bionic Commando.  I got play those for weeks.
