Testament's such a bitch. There's a dude on campus that would have my number if I couldn't FRC. All he needs is to learn the Grave Digger Loop and he'd be so set.

EDIT: I will now discover how to do the Grave Digger Loop and put it in Testament's section.

MORE EDIT: Added the combo itself. Will do more explaining on it later.

I can't seem to get the combo down, every time I try, either the S completely misses, or I can't get a second Grave Digger in.

I tried it a few times today. Counter Hits help, as does bouncing an airborne opponent off the wall as opposed to a grounded one. Try using a move to launch a grounded opponent first, or use an anti-air and go into the loop.

Potemkin:

Combo near the corner, full tension required.
:s , :d :+ :hs :c :sho :+ :hs , :hcb :+ :hs (Roman) :c :qcf :x2 :+ :s

That'd be Slash, Down+HiSlash, Cancel into Heat Knuckle, Heat Knuckle Extend, Roman Cancel into Heavenly Potemkin Buster. Does about 70% damage, really not difficult to pull off. Only works in the corner, anywhere else it won't because the opponent flies out of range from the Heat Knuckle Extend.

A half tension gauge alternative would be :s , :d :+ :hs , :qcf :x2 :+ :s . This can be done anywhere.

For the first combo, I would rather just 2H-Heat Knuckle-Heat Extend again and save the other 50% Tension for another combo. Second combo is solid gold though.

Also, in other news, my brother's begun to play and read the Anji section in this thread to help him get started, and it's laid out a solid foundation for him to build on. Go team.

Well, it's just a potential finisher combo (the first one) if you've got full tension and the opponent has at least 30 or 40 percent of their health bar gone. Otherwise you can take advantage of his Hammerfall FRC point (even though it's f'n difficult to pull off (easy to get a roman cancel instead)) with your tension.

With that, you can do stuff like:

 :b (hold) :f :+ :hs (Force Roman) :c , :d :+ :hs :c :sho :+ :hs , :hcb :+ :hs
(Hammerfall, False Roman Cancel into down+HiSlash cancel into Heat Knuckle, follow up with Extend.)

OR, if you have enough tension go for:

 :b (hold) :f :+ :hs (Force Roman) :c , :d :+ :hs :c  :qcf :x2 :+ :s
(Hammerfall, False Roman Cancel into down+HiSlash cancel into Heavenly Potemkin Buster.)

That last one is best to do when you've got full tension because you could fuck up and get a roman cancel instead of a false roman cancel. Same goes for the first, it'd be safer to attempt the first at at least 50 percent tension.

Potemkin Buster Setups and Combos:

Setups:

1.:b (hold) :f :+ :hs , :p (Stop) , :hcb :f :+ :p

2. (Jump towards) :dust , :hcb :f :+ :p *

3. :hcb :f :+ :hs , :hcb :f :+ :p

*NOTE: If you aim to attack over your opponent with the dust, you will only be able to grab them with the Potemkin Buster if they block or if you land directly next to them.

Combos:

After setup 1 in the corner, do:  :d :+ :hs :c :sho :+ :hs , :hcb :+ :hs

and if you have full tension, follow up with: (Roman) :c :qcf :x2 :+ :s

I know of more combos, but I just got tried of typing, so have fun with that for now.

In the corner, I usually do :s :s :sho :hs :hcb :hs Never thought to try doing crouching Heavy. I wonder which does more damage? Also, I find the Hammerfall FRC to be easy to do.

Well, after a Potemkin Buster, doing a crouching HiSlash to a Heat Knuckle+Extend will do more damage, but there is a bigger chance for recovery if your timing is off.

And in other news, Guilty Gear X2 Slash makes its way to PS2 sometime this week, but only in Japan.

I've been gradually getting more and more into SNK games.  It all started after I got the Neo Rage XP emulator.  So far I've been playing a lot of Art of Fighting 1 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

But, this post has nothing to do with Guilty Gear, so did you know that before Guilty Gear 1 was released, Potemkn was originally designed to use an axe as his weapon?

Yeah, I've seen the designs. I like the change that was made.

Glad he didn't have that axe.

[omg, HG, you have Mark of the Wolves?! Where, when, how?]

I have Mark of the Wolves for Dreamcast, in case you are wondering. The controls are not stellar, though.

Wait, this is an Guilty Gear Forum. Dang.

I play with Poketmin alot, due to his strength, I play I-No cause she's cool, and Dizzy, cause she's like a playable boss that's unlockable at the start of XX. One thing still bothers me, WHY DOESN'T DIZZY HAVE AN INSTANT DEATH MOVE LIKE ALL
THE OTHERS? That way, I can use it against Super I-No in the story mode.

Dizzy doesn't have a Destroy move because she has Gamma Ray, which does too much damage unblocked and tons of chip damage guard meter building. Besides, Destroy moves are nearly useless. You'll never land one unless an opponent's dizzy. Take MotW discussion to the SNK thread.

Gamma Ray....

Is it that move where Dizzy stands completely still, glows white and screams to the heavens while a beam of light consumes the opponent? Cause frankly, the computer uses it against me once.

Yeah. She'll hug herself, say something in Japanese (I think it's "I don't want to hurt anyone!") then Necro will shoot two little beams of light, then a gigantic laser of ownage.

Gutsy Johnny players with 25% Tension may want to tempt fate and crouch under the two beams, then before the big one comes out, Divine Transport, FRC, and air-dust her in the face.

Poor Dizzy. She was rather cute though, her super powered beam of death is hard to pull off.

Damn Super I-No.....

Boss I-no is dead easy to beat once you know the trick. What mode are you playing in, what character are you playing as, and what about I-No is giving you hell?
