Star Craft II

www.starcraft2.com

Probably everyone already knows about it, but I'm posting anyways. I'm sure that my current PC won't be able to handle it and I'll have to buy a new one, but Star Craft is more than worth it.

Meh, just SC1 in 3d-ish mode.

Blizzard couldn't make a good game nowadays if their lives were on stake.  Inept bastids.

I'll probably check this out.  I could never get into the original Starcraft because the 2D graphics were a real turn off for me.

Ah, SC2.  Good times.  We will see when Blizzard releases it.  I'm planning on picking it up when they do though.

Probably 'cause they spent too much time on WoW. Or spending. Or are spending most of their good workers on WoW. Or their workers are spending too much time on WoW. Their potential has started to wane.

Mmm... Starcraft II... The trailer reached a Kurt Russell level of bad-assness, which is A LOT. Only thing: I hoped to hear the Marine yell "You wanna piece of me, boy?", just for nostalgia sake, but the "Damn... About time" was just as good... and funny!

Only thing that pisses me off: They already have the site in spanish up... which means the game's going to ship in spanish down here... I FUCKING HATE THE FUCKING SPANISH DUBBINGS!! Fucking hate them... fucking hate them...

as much as I ought to bitchslap you, all I have to say is well, SC2 will probably be right up your alley, since it's just going to be Starcraft in 3D anyways.

So import an English copy.  Is it that hard?

Chances are it'll have a multi-language option anyways.  Any game (or regular application) of this magnitude is expected to these days.

Well, Warcraft 3 was basically Warcraft 1 and 2 in 3D, so Starcraft may have the same effect.  Maybe they will have new races, new plot points, and maybe stuff that they failed to resolve in Brood War. New mechanics, new weaponry, more funny unit quotes.... Starcraft 2 is the new Warcraft 3. Hopefully there will be new races, it can't be the Zerg, Protoss and Terrains forever, can they?

Don't forget about that Protoss/Zerg hybrid Zeratul found in the Secret Mission. We still need an explanation to that. Maybe a semi-secret 4th race of said hybrid? (shielded, regenerating monsters with beam/plasma weaponry...mmm...reminds of me of the Cyberdemons from Doom...)

Ditto to who/what Duran really is and who/what he's really working for.

Nitpicky moment: it's Terran, as in something from Terra (Earth); Terrain is the land
Edit extra: in a broader sense, it's a person from the ground or a planet

Bah, maybe it is!  Maybe not for you and people like you who have like a blackberry full of supah-sekrit import contacts but not all of us have an easy time locating reliable sources over the internet of all places let alone feel comfortable giving our information out over some site just to get an imported copy of some game though yes you're probably right about the multi-lingual thing

Well, Warcraft 3 was basically Warcraft 1 and 2 in 3D, so Starcraft may have the same effect.

How DARE you say that about WC3.  Warcraft 1 and 2 were actually good games.  There were so many horrible changes in Wc3 that I... I oughta... ugh!  U_U

It'll be there when the game comes out.  Every other blockbuster game is.

Well, I went over to the site, and found out that it's not completely SC1 all over again. There are new units for the races to be found, so this expirience can be enjoyed through and through.

Now if only they can get Warcrafts 1 and 2 to work on a more updated system, yeah, that would rock. Warcraft 3 wasn't exactly like the first two games, but the Orc Campain for Frozen Throne was enjoyable. It had a Diablo/Warcraft 2 type of feel, ya know? Maybe they will do the same thing for Starcraft 2.

Yeah because nobody like friends I know and me have never been ripped off by eBay/PayPal before yarite.

That's half the problem with importing, the easiest way is to go to "bidding sites" and we all know how "reliable" those are.

Also, Ryunson - DON'T BE FOOLED.  New units or not, it will be exactly like SC1.  Believe me, Blizzard can't jeopardize the Korean market.  Korean users supplied 2356% of the Starcraft 1 consumer base.  New facelift, same game.

Amen to that.  That is the most accurate number I have ever seen.

I hate what Blizzard has become.  And they can't make games for shit.

But yeah, I get the funny feeling I'm still going to buy this...
