Hello everyone,
Over the years, due to various reasons, I've learned a great deal about cooking. Now, I live away from home now - But even when I lived at home, I knew a lot about cooking because of my healthy lifestyle conflicting with the opposite one my family led. Yes Bang Doll, I have an apron. No, I will not post pics of me in my apron. I'm not giving you the satisfaction.
So every day, or maybe every other day, whatever. I'm gonna post some of my favourite foods and how to make them in this thread. You guys can try what you like, and let me know what you think, okay? Now, don't worry! I know I'm a health nut but a lot of the foods I know how to make are very full flavored and yummy. AND not bad for you.
I will also give you guys ingredient advice and whatever else, just to make sure you get it done right and at a good cost.

Today we're going to learn how to make two things, one - a delicious waffle treat that will leave you satisfied all morning, and two - a scrumptious sandwich that drips with sinful satisfaction! Mmm!
Alright, so here we go!
DELICIOUS GINGERBREAD WAFFLES OF AWESOME!
For this I'm going to recommend that you own a waffle iron, if you don't own one. UH OH! We're in trouble! Because otherwise you're going to make pancakes. The batter works either way, but everyone knows waffles are more full flavored and yummy than pancakes! Even when I make my big fluffy pancakes!
Now go to the store you lazybones and buy all this stuff. Then come back.
1/4 c. sugar
2 T butter
2 eggs
2 T shortening
1/2 tsp ginger
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 c. hot water
1 1/4 c. flour, sifted
1/2 c. molasses
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar. Beat the eggs well, and stir into the butter mixture, along with the molasses.
Sift the dry ingredients together onto a sheet of wax paper; pour into butter mixture, mix lightly. Add hot water.
Beat hard to make a smooth batter.
Cook in pre-heated waffle iron and bake 3-5 minutes, or until waffle is done to the desired color and steaming stops.
Serve with vanilla flavored whipped cream or brown sugar sauce.
Wow! That was fun huh? Let me know what you think, in addition to those toppings, you can also use the waffles to make a Wafflewich, as I've described before, of course hmm...lets go to that.
Ultimate Breakfast Wafflewich
Okay, see that big waffle you got up there? You can either split that in half to make a sort of half sandwich look, (It will be huge.) Or you can just go buy frozen waffles like I do. I'll wait.

My most FAVORITE wafflewich ever is one that is both nutritious AND delicious! You can make all sorts of combinations - But the one my friends and lovers all agree on is one that we can all love.
So you're going to need this.
Waffles (Either you make one and split it, or buy frozen ones and arrange them like bread (PERSONALLY ITS BETTER TO JUST BUY THE WAFFLES! You can buy different flavors too...)
Sausage Patties
2 Whole Eggs
Cheese (If you're using a very sweet waffle, don't add cheese. Add cream cheese to the waffle instead and make the sandwich that way.)
Maple Syrup
This is easy. Go ahead and start cooking those eggs and sausage. You want 2 eggs and you want to evenly distribute them so you can fold them into a small omelette style square or circle when they're done. The sausage patties? I use one, but you can double up if you like. I recommend turkey sausage, as its a bit healthier for you then pork. But to each his own!
After your ingredients are done, make sure your waffle is heated, if you bought frozen ones like a good little boy you can make this part simple. Take your cheese (or cream cheese), and put it on the waffle of your choice, or both, its your body/breakfast/whatever., arrange the ingredients in a sandwich fashion and enjoy yourself! Be careful with your syrup, I recommend putting the syrup on before the cheese, so the cheese kind of traps the syrup in there. This is also why I recommend cream cheese! It just tastes better (But I had a friend who LOVED cheese on these. So whatever floats your boat.)
The Wafflewich was created by me in Dowagiac, Michigan, one day when I was hungry and didn't have quite enough time to make a plate of food for breakfast, I just arranged all of this in a sandwich. It was heavenly.
Next time, I'll explore recipes not related to waffles! (Sorry!) But they will be just as good.
