Introducing SognaDigitalMuseum.com
« on: June 25, 2008, 08:14:32 am »

Today, on the 15th anniversary of VIPER-V6's initial release, I give to the world my pet project for the last couple of years - SognaDigitalMuseum.com.  The definitive site for all things Sogna and VIPER.

I've been working on this off and on for the last couple of years, and while far from complete, it's "clean enough" for public consumption.  Expect more to come.  If you want to provide content, offer suggestions, or find something egregiously wrong, let me know so I can fix it.

Must be you.  Site hasn't gotten any amount of traffic that it cant handle.  The server runs Windows Server 2003, which has unlimited connection pooling (instead of a maximum of 10 that non-Server versions have) - so my only significant bottleneck is bandwidth, which is connected through 8 megabit/sec DSL (averages around 6 mb/sec)

Once it gets catalogued into Google's search engine, the hits might go up a bit but I don't think it'll jump that much.  I'm not all that worried about traffic right now.

But if you're still having a problem, run tracert.  If it dies before it gets to 68.209.211.31 then its not my fault.

Very nice.

I was a little disappointed to see that the character pages weren't up yet, as that was the first thing that I looked for, but I'm sure you'll get round to them before long.

Some of them are.  The Rise series has the most work put into it so far regarding character pages.

Congratulations on getting this off the ground. It's mighty keen.

and check your PMs, assuming it actually went through and this forum set up doesn't hate me entirely

this is neat, any chance of it allowing user submissions?

Not at the moment but if you want to send it to me I'll find a place for it.  I'll either work it in to what's already there, or put in the catch-all section: Necronomicon.

Now if we just could get Google to catalog the pages like I requested days ago.  I didn't think it would take this long...  (And since it isn't, the internal site search doesn't work right yet either.)

By the way, Music player is fixed, so you can listen to a good bit of the game music now.

Ah, I didn't notice those before. Sorry.

Huh, I never realized that there were that many guys in the gang that screwed Miki during Viper CTR. I'd thought there was just their boss, who held the camera, and the two guys who had sex with her.
