Someone discovered some rad female Link artwork in an old Japanese magazine. Would like to purchase this magazine for myself, but the only info i have to go is that the magazine is called Comic Captain and it's from 1986. Anyone mind sifting thru these tweets to find anymore info on the specific issue?

How sure are you on that Comic Captain title?  The last image (the black and white one) has a box labeling it as "Captain Famicom Information Bureau" (キャプテンファミコン情報局 / captain famicom jouhou kyoko) and elsewhere in the replies the poster refers to it in a shorter form as just "Famicom Information Bureau" (ファミコン情報局).  So I think you're right that Captain is part of the magazine title but I'm less sold on the Comic part. A search on that pulls up a Captain manga serialized in Shonen Jump (same mag that gave us Dragonball)

Some other terms that might help your search:
キャプテン  (Captain)
女リンク  (Female link)
ゼルダの伝説  (Legend of Zelda)
Also consider adding 1986 to your searches.

Mostly though I'm just getting results for the other females in Zelda series, particularly Linkle from Hyrule Warriors. This is going to be a tough find.

Researched a bit further and found Monthly Shonen Captain is the proper title of the mag. They probably had a section dedicated to Famicom games which might be where "Famicom Information Bureau" came from. Probably gonna have to buy all 1986 issues to find the art. According to wiki the original Zelda came released in Febuary 1986 in Japan so i'll start there.

Remember that Nintendo was exceptionally protective of preview images in magazines during the 80s and well into the 90s. Quite likely that article is in a March issue or later.
