JG00, after wandering around in that page, I found a program called "agsdat". Is that what you were referring to? If it is, then how can I make animated GIFs with the bitmaps that are downloaded? Every time I change them to GIF format they turn crappy.

And about the rar file, erase it. It is not needed, probably the one who uploaded put it in there by mistake. I erased it and the game still runs correctly

You'll have to use a better program to make an animated gif out of the bitmaps.

Another question which probably has been answered a dozen times. I decided to test V6R, well I just completed downloading it, but nothing works. Doublie-clicking on the V6R icon gives an Error message in strange fonts and the SGS icon gives an error saying "Please perform the installer of CD-ROM".

So where's the glitch?

V6R and V8R must be run from DVD-ROM media, or in a cd emulator like Daemon Tools.  You can't run it from your hard drive.

I tried that too. Daemon Tools reads only the .mds file but it gave me the text "Unable to mount image. File not accesaible"

Possibly means you need to upgrade your Daemon Tools or go with an alternative like Alcohol 120%'s drive emulator (I prefer it over Daemon Tools to be honest)

Hmm...if it still says it's corrupted, then I'll upload a torrent containing the ISO, no RAR

Alternate torrent: http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3608955

ISO file with no compression

I can't seem to download it because the torrent is gone....

Did some snooping and found a Lingerie Red torrent

http://www.deadfrog.us/index.php?act=entry&id=8376

Unless I have a hole in my brain (which I probably do), I'm pretty sure this isn't in any of the other Viper torrents thus far.

Stupid question, but would anyone happen to have a list of all Sogna games (non-viper included)?  I know I got a good amount of the viper stuff at some point and would like to know what I'm missing.  Just some OCD need to fulfill the COMPLETE set (also getting the non-viper stuff would be nice too)

Cool, thanks!

Assuming I marked off the correct ones (The Rise, DVD edition, Limited, ect confused me :(  ), and these torrents go without a hitch that would mean I'm missing;

Animahjong V3               1992.11.27
Viper-V8 Twin Turbo            1994.03.25
Animahjong X               1994.09.14
Animahjong X Perfect File            1994.12.09
Viper-V6 RS               1995.03.31
Viper-V6 Turbo RS               1995.04.14
Viper-V8 RS               1995.05.26
Viper-V8 Turbo RS               1995.06.09
Viper-V10 RS               1995.07.14
Viper-V10 Turbo RS               1995.07.28
Viper-V16 [International Version]         2001.07
Viper Paradice [International Version]      2002
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-GTS         2002.09.27
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-V8         2002.09.27
Viper Classic Collection Box         2002.09.27
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-V16         2002.09.27
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-V6         2002.09.27
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-V10         2002.09.27
Viper-GTS Limited Edition            2002.10.18
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-GTB         2002.12.20
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-F50         2002.12.20
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-F40         2002.12.20
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-CTR         2002.12.20
Viper Classic Collection Box Volume II Limited Edition   2002.12.20
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-M5         2002.12.20
Viper Classic Collection: Viper-M1         2002.12.20
Viper Classic Collection Box Volume II      2002.12.20
Viper-V8R                  2003.08.29

Even then, I think I can take some of those off (such as the classic collection) and the Turbo stuff (not sure if those are just remakes, or new games).  The Animahjong games are ones that I've never seen around before.

Its a complete list of every unique game, but not every version (for example, VIPER-CTR is listed once, instead of seperated into PC98 diskette, PC98 CD, and Windows CD versions)

Its quite likely that some of the Windows versions floating around are the Classic Collection variety.  To my knowledge there is no way to distinguish them by the CD alone - you'd need the packaging.

Turbo versions were made to take advantage of newer PC98 hardware.  They do have different title screens though and should be considered seperate for that reason alone.

Here's some posts relating to the pre-VIPER series, Animahjong:

Ah, good to know.  For the time being the goal is to try and get each unique game (not that I will pass over a remake/variation though) .

Can't find much about them, except your screenshots (and those legs in those shots are to die for...).  Probably rude to ask, but you wouldn't happen to have a copy lying around that you can share, would you?

Actually on that note, assuming that you guys don't mind me asking in this forum, is there any good sites/torrents that have those old pc98 hentai games for download? They have this weird retro charm that the more modern games will never claim but sadly finding a place to get them is pretty lacking (found one chinese site, but I can't read a damn thing on it)

Hope you don't mind the double post

Found them, or at least two of them anyways

http://www.emumax.com/emumax_roms_detail.asp?id=15066 X and X perfect, though the site is a bitch to navigate and quite slow.

edit

http://box.emucn.net/s/NEC%20PC98%20ToSec is also a better option.

Huzzah, I'm awesome....I guess.

Just need to find V3.

edit: Fuck, I left my computer running with all those torrents (going to be out of the country for a month) and someone turned it off.  Great.....by the time I get back, all the seeders will probably be gone. Goddamn it.

Am I in correct in assuming that X Perfect is a remake of X?

Yes. It features a two or four player free play mode, a better scene replay system, and music room.  Maybe some other additions but not as noticable.
