How did you come up with your ID name?
« on: August 15, 2006, 08:19:12 am »
After seeing so many different ID names on this site,it got me thinking, how did everyone come up with the iD's they chose?

mine has 2 sources....

1. 'importgamer' comes from the fact that i am an import gamer.I have around 38 or 39 import games.

2. '13' is my lucky number, plus i'm a big fan of Jason Voorhees and Friday the 13th.

i read tarot cards for fun and sometimes at faires for some extra cash. i'm also a gemini, and as a gemini my major arcana representative cards are the heirophant and the hermit. while also hermetic in nature, i chose the heirophant because i feel it is less threatining to others and also makes more sense as a social name.

Last name, first and middle initials.  That's it.

I have no imagination for such things.

I took mine from MegaMan X/Megaman Network Transmission. In the former (MegaMan X5 to be precise), the Zero Virus was a stronger version of the Sigma Virus, essentially. And in MMNT, the ZeroVirus was Zero himself.

I liked the MMNT version better, though. That guy was tough. Few guys actually make me sweat when I fight them. Another example of such a situation is Alma from Ninja Gaiden.

Mine came from my friends shortening up Big Friendly Guy down to bfg (which alternatively can be read as Big F***ing Gun as I was later informed (I hadn't been exposed to Doom yet)).  The 00 came from when I tried to register for hotmail and found that bfg was taken (surprise, surprise), so I tacked on my graduation year to it.  Hence we get bfg00.

Started with a character I invented for a story.

Lan

Then changed the story a tad. Lan was some sort of prototype for a supse project.

00-Lan [aka Lan Zero]

Used it as my Starcraft name, joined the SJ (Smoke Jaguar) clan.

SJ-LanZero

At this point I kinda ran around with a million accounts. I invented another character, Alias (his codename, anyway) and I used that for another clan I joined, MS (Master Sniper), and when that died I was taken in by FS (Fate Snipers).

Afterwards, I just used SJ. Then, I added a "Z" to Jaguar, and ended up using just Jaguarz.

Jaguarz.

Shorten it.

Jagz.

I had this obssession with time, so I wanted to add something cool that had something to do with time.

Eon Jagz.

Remove Jagz after a while, and add Acid.

Acid Eon

Remove Eon, and add Gear.

Acid Gear.

Remove Gear.

Acid.

That's where I'm at now. I kinda took Sorrowful cause I wanted to make up this retardia-random username. Haha. I might ask HG to change it or something, but everyone here remembers me by that name I guess.

I had about 20 other users, haha.

Ryujin, FuManChu, LOLBATTOSAI, ForwardScythe, etc etc.

So there you have it. Haha.

my best friend has wanted to become a manga artist for most of his life, and he's been working on one which involved characters based off himself, me, and our other friends.  the name "Tetsaru Arigashi" was given to my character, and i've pretty much used it as an alias ever since, as do my other friends with their respective character names.  if by any chance, several years from now, you see a manga or anime entitled "Demon Legacy" (unless he changes it), then you'll know i was a part of it.

I'm Hyperguy's Roommate. I decided that wasn't impressive enough, so I decided to add "Indestructible" in it. However, there's a limit to the number of characters a user name can have, so after some creative shortenings we have HGsIndestruc.Roommate.

In the Goldeneye movie,Alec Trevelyan/Janus was 006...i think 008 was the agent that was killed by Renard before World is not Enough started.

i got my name from this

1. it was suppose to be destructor v2, but i wanna keep it together so i merge them both

2. destructor, cos in high school, i broke and destroy a lot of stuff there, and i kept that name a lot from video games to accounts.

3. v2, to admit, i love wrestling, yeah yeah think all you want about fake and real, i don't care, it actually makes me relieve stress by watching guys beating each other up. I saw a wrestler, Matt Hardy, and last time he has this gimmick of calling himself V1.0 (version 1.0), and he is actually doing great even though he is suppose to be evil when he is Matt Hardy version 1.0. so i used destructorv1, but then, i wanted to change it, so its v2.

that merges destructorv2

Heheheh... so many have wondered.... I came up with this A LONG time ago whilst playing scrabble. The word I had formed had an eerie ring to it, so I adopted it as a nickname. It didn't make it to the internet until much later, though.
