They wiped the harddrive. It's just like the day I got it. No trojans that are just there, no spam in my email, no one-minute countdown. We're golden. The only thing is downloading and installing all my programs is taking an inordinate amount of time due to the crappiness of the school network.
heh, told ya... i figured that's what they'd do, as it seemed like the only possible sure-fire solution. =)
so far, i've been able to keep my computer in pretty good shape. AVG keeps picking up a few viruses within my critical files that it can't heal whenever i do a manual scan, but nothing screwy going on, luckily. probably the worst thing i'm doing is constantly downloading anime/hentai and then deleting them due to the small amount of space on my hard drive. i've heard that it's bad to do that a lot, as it messes with the memory that's been written out on the drive and starts to really bog it down speed-wise, maybe i'm wrong... man, it makes me want that shiny new computer that's been brooding within the complex vacancies of my mind lately... even with a band scholarship paying for tuition, my parents are still paying around $750 a month for my ass to be in college, which sucks when you're trying to save up money for an expensive new toy... >_<;
