The illustrated novel that corresponds to the VIPER-CTR backstory. The book explains Asuka's untrusting relationship with men, stemming from witnessing the rape of her childhood hero, Shiori, when she was 8 years old. The story continues to explain Asuka's change of heart: how and why she fell in love with Captain in the original Northern Lights story of VIPER-V10, and why she's afraid of losing his attention to Miki. Overall, the majority of the story transferred well between game and novel.
