VIPER Limited

The original illustrated novel that formed the basis of the VIPER-GTS backstory. Only select scenes from the novel were used in the game, explaining what most consider a choppy plot. In particular, key scenes that detail Mercedes' moody personality, and any scene featuring Alpina or his conquest were dropped.

The three episode OVA by Moonrock - and later redistributed in North America by Kitty Media - more accurately follows the story presented in the novel, but exchanges Alpina's part of the story with the introduction of fan-favorite Ratty and her continuing pursuit of Carrera's attention.
