WORD ASSOCIATION:Friendly, Idealist
Toshiyuki attends the local two-year technical college, where he's enrolled in the business school program. He takes computer programming classes and hopes to one day make a career out of creating games like the ones he enjoys playing. (His current favorite being VIPER-V16: Rise.)
Fearful of graduating before knowing a woman, he tries to woo three of the girls he knows who attend the telecommunications school: the budding actress, Haruka; the future singer, Takako; and the timid Nami. The player controls Toshiyuki's actions and determines which of the three girls he'll approach.
Toshiyuki goes unnamed in the original Japanese version of the game, being first named in the VIPER V-1 short story It's Easy If You Try. Hobibox gives him the name "Io" in the International version.
