Nami is one of the trio of young women at the core of the Imagine series. Like Takako, she is also taking recording classes at the college but for different reasons. Nami, too easily embarrassed and shy to ever dream of becoming a singing idol, hopes to use her range of abilities in the arena of voice dubbing foreign films and anime instead.

When he first meets her, Toshiyuki mistakes Nami for a high school student. However, once he gets to know her, he finds that she is very grown up and actually more serious about her future than the other girls. Toshiyuki's suspicions are confirmed when Nami confesses that she's a virgin.
